Squier Stratocaster Guitar and Controller (aka the Rock Band 3 strat)
what i expected: Rock Band controller that isn't much fun to play as a regular guitar but might be fun for MIDI
what i got: waaa super light one-pickup hardtail strat with nice satin neck 🥺 she is joyful
weird guitar! very weird guitar!! doesn't have good tuning stability, lacks a lot of things an electric guitar normally has, but a guitar is a guitar, and the strat shape, the light body and the neck finish make it really quite enjoyable despite it all
meanwhile: Rock Band 3 is great and the “pro” bass and guitar modes in it are great and a lot more fun to me than their five-button equivalents, but the physical feel of playing with the muted strings is very… strange, and it's a shame you can't really hear what you're doing
