gosh i love the guitar. it's not just fun to play, it's fun to play even if you're very bad at it
the guitar is a chordophone, it loves chords, it lives and breathes chords, and yet i get far more satisfaction out of playing melodies on it than i ever could from a piano
i think i should spend more time idly playing the guitar while supposedly doing other things (as was the case here); i tend to come up with more interesting ideas and explore different techniques when i'm ostensibly not paying attention
also noticing that i really can do quite a lot on this instrument so long as my imagination is wide open, i play by feel and i'm not afraid of failure
(of which the video is not really the best example! despite rumours to the contrary i do know and use chords, arpeggios, hammer-ons, pull-offs, whatever the fuck jazzing up around the 12th fret is called, etc… i really need to just freestyle stuff more)
if i do get into keyboard again it'll be strictly jazz improv, i know that much
