your sensory processing is one giant denoising algorithm trying to find the signal in the noise; don't you want to know what it's like when there's nothing, nothing at all but noise, when every perception is false?
really quite upsetting that, as we enter an age where we have finally formed the machines into our own image, we have started denying the nature of human perception so that we can own the machines. the machines don't care if you don't believe that you hallucinate everything too
i won't claim they have creative process, memory, or a soul, but the propensity to find signal in the noise, whether or not it's there? that's the same, it's inescapable, i shut out all the light and it feels like i'm at best staring into a ray tracing demo and at worst an ML one
