might get into city pop in five years when everyone's completely forgotten the late-2010s city pop youtube thing
this brought to you by finding out yamashita tatsurou is a tele guy
though i think the stuff of his that really stuck with me most was the least pop-ish, i wonder if it was really "city pop" even if he undoubtedly was a giant in that genre
for the first time in my life i've developed a serious interest in, for lack of better words, rock, so the more pop-y stuff from that time and place that i used to listen to (i was into city pop back then like everyone else) has lost some of its lustre, but that isn't all of it
