good lord i think hikari_no_yume fell this badly for kanbaru suruga because she was, in fact, kinda like this in highschool in a very particular way i will never be able to explain publicly lmao

i have no idea how much it means to any of you, but just for context: the fact that “hikari_no_yume really likes kanbaru suruga of the monogatari series” may be something folks who haven't seen the series are oblivious to, but this is what our twitter looked like 6 years back!

watching anime is a very funny thing, because if you're very (un)lucky, you will discover a character who is, well, literally you, but way happier about it, and then things happen (not necessarily good ones, it's just… a thing)

those who've followed us longer than that may recall we also have a thing for certain other kanbaru-ish characters too. i feel like we probably wrote a whole thread about tomboy as a concept once, maybe not publicly

like you don't understand. it has to be really peak to oneshot you in 3 episodes when you're not even paying full attention because you're watching it at the university's anime society. that's what happened to hikari_no_yume in early 2016 :)
