this is the coolest discovery, what. just… knowing that the fictional brand of cigarettes in a game that's very meaningful to us, is the same as the fictional brand of cigarettes in an anime that's very meaningful to some of our friends, and that it's a deliberate reference

@shift_reset Quite possibly! We remember better than most which shows were on, because we used to add every single one to our MAL and tag it as such, though I don't know if we kept that up.
Also: Right, we've been wanting to point out that whoever decided we should watch Bakemonogatari during the early-2016 semester would be shocked what they ultimately did to a certain Language and Linguistics student lmao (mostly positive!)
