jump to expanded postit's (checks notes) no longer the weekend baby. u know what that means. it's time to listen to exactly one of the greatest albums of all time, SUBMERGE by COALTAR OF THE DEEPERS, and then go the fuck to sleep
god it's so fucking good man
NARASAKI is our hero, always and forever
🎵 Cheer up and try again
🎵 Break away to all the chance[?]
🎵 Don't let me down, till I burn out
🎵 Don't let me down, till I burn out
and listening to 「Sazabi」 of course makes us feel alive like nothing else ever can, of course, of course, our favourite song of all time, easily, easily, it's why we picked up the electric guitar, even if there were so many other reasons, it's the reason, it always was
this is probably the most reassuring profile pic change we could do for anyone who's been paying close attention to us since … november or so
“Whereas the tiger's stripes undoubtedly serve as camouflage
The stripes of the zebra are now no longer believed to be protected”
holy shit what, did i manifest this, it came out while tweeting all this…
(this album actually came out months ago, i wonder if this is just them finally putting it on bandcamp)
Oh of course Coaltar of the Deepers specifically would be the band to oneshot us, because they're a band that it's impossible to describe the genre of, and that's exactly the kind of music taste we have.
The one tragedy with Submerge being “the album” for us, and Coaltar of the Deepers being “the band” for us, is that as a beginner, it's really enticing to try to be able to play your favourite songs, but we would have to get good at far too many things to attempt half of these.
But maybe there's a meaning in finding great meaning in an album you'll be able to play at the end of your musical journey, rather than at the start, right?
Yeah okay Sazabi is still our favourite song ever regardless of whether we currently are something with a suspicious resemblance to Minakami Yuki of Subarashiki Hibi or something with a suspicious resemblance to Kanbaru Suruga of the Monogatari Series, that's good, only good.
Note to self, get into 「sadesper record」, which despite the name is in fact not a concept album about Koizumi Itsuki's fundamental melancholy (it's actually the name of one of NARASAKI's other musical projects).
