jump to expanded postthe Yamaha PSS-A50's arpeggio feature is really fun because it lets me pretend i know how to jazz :3
(the sound here is from the Roland SC-7, and the MIDI is being recorded by Sekaiju, which is also routing the MIDI between the two devices)
someday i will learn chords i promise
@hikari Same T_T
@hokaze it's easier on guitar at least
@hikari True, I can play guitar chords, just...not in real-time, and first try often has one finger just brushing one string it shouldn't and I've not *learned* specific chords - piano is worse.
I did *not* have good experiences trying to play piano/keyboard when I was younger (especially because we used them in Music classes but uh...weren't taught how to play *Piano* specifically like I was taught Recorder and Viola)
I mostly just played simplified game music in secondary school Music classes when I could get away with it: one handed without chords or with very basic second-hand if the second hand was simple and repetitive enough (and even that was a struggle)
@hokaze the trick with guitar is you only need a very small number of chord shapes that you can comfortably change between, and suddenly you can play a lot of songs if you can figure out the chord progression
@hokaze because the rest is just sliding up and down the neck
