seven episodes in and while our initial suspicion of one thing this show might be about is bearing some fruit, the show does continue to turn in an unexpected direction almost every episode

fascinated by how angel beats has so much musical theming and symbolism and yet it's not really about music but it's also not not about music. also it has a band in it and a meaning of being a musician episode. but it's not really about music. but is it? i don't know

this probably was in fact just inserted for "fuck what do we do we only have one cour" reasons but it's cute how this is like a prototype of the monogatari darkness in some sense
does tachibana kanade have superpowers simply because she's very autistic
the concept in fiction that a hacker necessarily has lots of computers is very funny. i mean we do have... checks notes three currently but that's not because we're an elite hacker it's because we're dysfunctional and stubborn and migrating computers is a huge fucking hassle

Angel Beats is… a good show? it's a lot of different things. I don't think I would personally rank it as a great show. It's not life-changing. It has some wonderful moments though.
sad to report the Angel Beats OVA is mostly pretty tedious in the way OVAs have a tendency to be
