decided to briefly do our first guitar noodling of the new year just before going to sleep
… and almost immediately stumbled upon the ReactOS startup chime
auspicious, perhaps
(https://github.com/reactos/reactos/raw/refs/heads/master/media/sounds/ReactOS_Startup.wav for reference. we are not particularly fond of that wav file for a number of reasons and have only heard it a handful of times. but it's fun stumbling upon the melody right now because of our guitar being in drop d. our guitar makes it sound kinda nice…)
@hikari it is not the most interesting sequence of notes but all things considered this sound would not be the worst desktop startup sound 🤷♀️
