god i love linux
this kind of diversity of desktop environments is not entirely unique to linux. there used to be a lot of alternative shells for windows! still, there's just something about being able to install a dozen or two different takes on desktop computing and try them out
exiting a WindowMaker X session fucks up gdm in a way that prevents logging back in. fascinating
