gods we keep stumbling on stuff huh

and it immediately makes me think of some really twee english ???-genre thing we heard in the early 2000's, was it played on an ukulele perhaps… this does only use the top four strings…
i was thinking of “5 years time” by “noah and the whale” and yep that sure is a twee song played by an english folk/indie band on a ukulele that was in the charts in the uk in the late 2000's
…oh god this actually is the “5 years time” chord progression, just transposed down by a minor third. ukuleles are so high-pitched…
i am starting to think our perception or memory of pitch is relative, but in some stupid way where our memory is always off by a third or a fifth, never a semitone or similar
it makes me wonder if we just lock onto the "wrong" notes in chords, the fifths instead of the roots
