i don't go into art wanting to experience a box-checking exercise, i go into art wanting to actually experience and feel things
i think it is telling that the yuri instances in fiction that have most affected us have not been ones that just, on paper, give the fans what they want, but ones that have had some kind of depth and verisimilitude that can strike at the heart
