there's all the usual reasons that we don't use generative AI for anything, but there's one more: frankly, cognitive decline is a terrifying thing that it always feels like we are sleepwalking into, and if we let ourselves rely on the bots we will surely lose our sharpness faster
we have been feeling this for a while now but I just read someone say that human's ability to think is our claws, the thing that makes us dangerous, and that's a good way to put it. I don't want to defang myself any faster than necessary
