one artifact of the way most of our guitar playing clips come about is that nobody sees how we "actually" play guitar
what you usually see is the result of us hitting something that sounds vaguely cool
then setting up a recording environment
then doing one pretty good take while… not recording
then spending 30~60 minutes frustratedly trying to "perfect" it, tiring out our ears and hands
and then usually by the end of it we have achieved semantic satiation so it no longer sounds interesting to us, and our hands are worn out so we're no longer playing well, and either we weren't recording during our best take or we have too much footage to be arsed to review it
so what you usually end up seeing and hearing is the "fine okay our hands and ears are tired That'll Do" final take and not the take that actually made us want to post something in the first place. it's uh. not ideal
one result of this is that you basically never see any aggressive playing in our clips

@hikari Something similar happens to me when I try to find inspiration with my keyboards, I know what you mean 😄
