fun fact about the 2017 12-inch MacBook, spiritual predecessor of the MacBook Neo: you can charge it with an ordinary 5W USB-C charger and cable, like a phone
we did this last night for reasons and we have done it before while using the laptop on a train. you do have to keep the power usage low when doing this, so it's a bit off-and-on, but it does work!
