Apparently, there is a market for “USB 3 blue” USB 2 connectors.
It says USB 3 on the box, the connector is blue, you don't even think to check whether it has the pins. Beautiful.
@hikari back when USB2 was released they made the genius move of defining "USB2 Full Speed" and "USB2 High Speed" so all the vendors could rebrand their existing products as "USB2" without needing to change anything except the packaging
