wow there's a choice right in the first scene — yurippe is trying to convince you that you're dead, and you have what appears to be the option to believe her or not to believe her.

i think this'll be more interesting if i choose not to, so let's see how that goes…

a lot of this is because we're reading through it at a quite slow pace (we have to look up a lot of words, including ones we supposedly already know), but the feeling of the opening feels so different in text with this looping mysterious background music. cool VN feel I guess

reading through this opening scene at such a slow pace with the dramatic music is really emphasising how haruhi-like and ridiculous yurippe is

oh god there's another choice. I wonder if it's possible to wind yurippe up enough that she gives up on you immediately and you get a bad end or something. that would be fun

The frequent changes of BGM really make this an exciting experience even when you're reading as slowly as we are (because we're having to look up words very frequently). When Tachibana tells the protag everyone is dead, the BGM becomes intense, and there's a cool CG of the moon.

Otonashi actually dares Tachibana to stab him directly in the heart, boldly proclaiming she won't have the guts!
