the thing that's very frustrating about israel is they chose to be in a state of constant war and then complain about how hard it is. their neighbours are probably never going to like them, especially with 80 years of bad blood, but they could be tolerated if they wanted to
Turning Everyday Gadgets into Bombs Is a Bad Idea [because it's too cheap and simple to pull off, so there are millions of potential actors who could do it, and it's undetectable without destroying the device, so a Pandora's box has been opened] https://www.bunniestudios.com/blog/2024/turning-everyday-gadgets-into-bombs-is-a-bad-idea/
people who know a bit about electronics in music production: any idea why a few Roland and BOSS products have 12V AC inputs? most of their stuff uses the vastly more common 9V DC, and in general low-voltage AC seems like an uncommon thing. is there some reason it'd be useful?

I wrote a proposal for memory safety in C++. It's in this month's WG21 mailing.
π₯π₯π₯ Sean is doing amazing work here, i hope this gets the reception it deserves. maybe there's hope for c++!
i hate how you can almost viscerally feel the end of the zirp with how every website has gotten more aggressive with trying to upsell you on its premium version. youtube no longer avoids showing ads where it would feel like it's too much; soundcloud is now deliberately annoying
