at some point we turned from reclusive shut-in nerds into… still fairly reclusive nerds, but of the kind who think going on long walks and listening to music and playing guitar and generally appreciating the little things in life and having friends is the most important thing

As much as we have a lot of contempt for Apple's walled-garden thing and refuse to buy another Apple product again if we can help it, we are forced to admit that macOS is a really, really nice operating system for a power user, and in ways you need years with it to appreciate.
