“Steamed Hams but it was banned in the USSR” is, of course, yet another play on that goddamn Simpsons sketch, but… it’s so high-effort, so lovingly crafted, so well-executed, it’s… transcendent.
please watch it.
@hikari I made this a lot more confusing for myself than necessary by first watching the parody and then the original sketch (which I had seen snippets of, but never the full thing, so I had no idea what was going on)
@neoraider I expected it’d be like that! given it imitates a wordless, abstract style of animation, the legibility of the plot kind of relies on you being familiar with Steamed Hams… though some of the important parts are clear either way
