a tiny comment on politics: i have been de-politics-ing my twitter/fediverse/etc feeds for a while ago. i only have maybe five or less accounts i follow who aren't muted who still retweet stuff about a certain current, extremely contentious ongoing conflict
*for a while now.
and so i only get the tiniest sliver of insight into that particular conflict, and even those tiny bits would be enough to deeply radicalise you if you aren't able to control when you feel empathy… it's… i don't even have the words
@hikari i think of those two choices i prefer radicalization
@whitequark i say “control when you feel empathy” but i actually can't really control it, i wouldn't have felt the need to write this if i could… maybe i shouldn't have written that
@hikari I (mostly) can and, well, I don't think of it as such a good thing
in and of itself it is a weapon!
