whoa. an ipad charger and a cheap usb-a-to-usb-c cable designed for a low-power phone can actually charge my laptop… i love owning the lowest power envelope real computer apple ever made
4.5w tdp! 1.2ghz base frequency! passively cooled! and… intel, not apple silicon. i cherish it
it is still my main computer. it is the machine i developed touchHLE on. this is not an act of masochism it is a genuinely great computer. it's also probably the last mac i will ever buy
heh it's actually supplying just enough power (10w) that it's alternating between powering and charging the laptop. interesting. i wonder if it only “charges” it when total system power consumption stays within 11w, and stops when it spikes
