jump to expanded postyou ever suddenly start feeling like you're viewing the world through very subtle tilt-shift photography?
basically that objects feel smaller than they should. but not as dramatically as when you suddenly feel you have become the size of the universe while falling asleep
‪this is the second time i've felt this in two days. it's a very subtle effect for most of the world, i think i'm still perceiving reality coherently for the most part, but it's like when i stare at my desk i have forgotten that objects in the distance are larger than they appear‬
‪the roland sc-7 on my desk has gone from already feeling very cute for what it is to The Cutest Possible Size. like a nintendo classic mini or whatever it's called. what the fuck is this perceptual effect‬
‪you know, considering how my head feels right now, it is possible this is actually my vestibular system getting out of balance again. it does that sometimes‬
@hikari what the actual fuck, lol
i now remember having had exactly this feeling many years ago and completely forgotten about it since.
and that's far from first weird perceptual anomaly that i had completely forgotten about and i recently recollect, either.
there also used to be one when my vision randomly switched as if from 30fps to 60fps for a brief period of time, ever get that one?!?
@unspeaker changing framerate is not something i think i have experienced (at least, that i've thought of in those terms) but it wouldn't surprise me that much if i experienced it
@unspeaker @hikari oh, i’ve had the framerate one happen a few times
@hikari
This is quite common I think:
