jump to expanded postokay, here's a thought: i'm sure that a lot of old folks with dementia or whatever can't tell what is and isn't ai slop
But i think a lot of them are probably desperately lonely and the fact it's slop no longer matters to them
and that should be more concerning, honestly

can you not hear the desparate screaming that lies behind that kind of nostalgic meme? the attempt to connect to something, anything, to break through the fog and distance and touch the heart? even if the creator is utterly soulless, the creation has half a soul in the reader
