Auras were my old faves, these are my new faves - fit is similar but they have elastic instead of plain rubber bands, and i.m.e. the rubber bands were often the point of failure. Also black ones go better with my clothes!
I do still get Auras to give to the dentist though.
@hikari I'd try a hardware store, like Gamma, Praxis or Karwei. Amsterdam has several of them, although mostly on the outskirts. If you want to cross into Noord, the ferry from central station is free.

@hikari I really like Berlin on the whole, but the fact that I have friends who have lived there for 15 years and never learned to speak anything beyond the most basic German is really disconcerting to me.
