ahh, Amsterdam feels like Berlin, in that it's too famous, a hip capital city where English-language marketing campaigns for random vacuous international bullshit make sense to run
real ones don't live in capitals
@hikari I really like Berlin on the whole, but the fact that I have friends who have lived there for 15 years and never learned to speak anything beyond the most basic German is really disconcerting to me.
