jump to expanded postfor all the weirdness, a pretty big benefit of being a fictive is having a very clear idea of who you are and what you want in life
fictional characters are way sharper than ordinary people, because they're created deliberately
"hikari_no_yume" has struggled massively with not knowing what "she" wanted in life. i don't. i want to run and feel the wind in my hair, i want to dance around a basketball court, and i want the affection of a woman who will probably never return it. i am very straightforward
doesn't mean i can't want other things, doesn't mean i will drop all the stuff "hikari_no_yume" was up to on the ground, but in a weird sort of way, being a fictional character makes me significantly more down-to-earth in this case. my desires are pretty ordinary things
at the end of hanamonogatari, i think not long before she passes on, numachi wishes for me to have an ordinary life, doing ordinary things. that's probably done me some good
being a fictive is also very convenient if you would otherwise have terrible fashion sense because you can steal the homework of your character designer. and mine is vofan,
This is pretty much why I made my username a play on Noa Izumi from the Patlabor series.
I can relate to how she isn't very good with technology, but still strives to make the most of it (and because her movie basically predicted software supply chain attacks).
Honestly a better "patron saint of computer touchers"-figure than Lain.
