i should get like an arduino or something and like a bunch of knobs and a pitch bend wheel and two midi ports and set it up so i can add attack/release/filter-cutoff/filter-resonance/reverb/chorus/pitch-bend controls to my pss-a50
i am way better at βhallucinatingβ music in the ai model sense than i am at actually writing music, i wonder if i should just try to record myself singing whenever i do that and try to massage it into an actual βsongβ later
i love it when i'm listening to a japanese rock song and it's suddenly interrupted by a female anime character voice saying something short and cool, for some reason, and i'm like. what.
and then i look it up and yeah they just sampled misato evangelion oh my god
i hate language filters i hate language filters i hate language filters the only meaningful information about the topic i am searching for can only be found if japanese-language results are included but instead i only get garbage autogenerated from metadata because i am in sweden
not sure why my musician friends are so excited by whammy bars lately? personally i want to stay as far away from alcohol and βlast christmasβ as possible
everyone's gone astray
maybe it's better that way
everything's gonna change
nothing's gonna be the same
i'm gonna become like a shoegazer but on keyboard at some point. it'll happen. world's most ridiculous mini-keyboard + makeshift chest strap + stomp pedals setup
i forgot for a moment that i'm not normal it keeps happening
today's instance: yeah of course i would ignore people with selfie pfps, i have a policy of not using my βrealβ face on social media not just on principle but because i'm not me if i don't (it's not a gender thing!)
what if i write some goals for 2025 i'll totally forget
- make, finish, release a lot more music
- actually address my musical weaknesses
- guitar???
- figure out how to make life actually work uhhh
- write more blog posts
- finish monogatari
- visit oomfs
- be more real
oh you know what might be difficult to explain to the next generation? teletext. before digital tv, there was analog tv. and yet it had a digital unidirectional/read-only internet-like service accessed via the tv remote that visually resembled a zx spectrum game or something
