is βnormal human behaviourβ just a learned response to the trauma of being born
thank fucking god i picked up guitar rn it's an unending source of intense wonder and i was and still am desperately in need of it because i must fight against the dying of the light
oh my god if i strum my guitar (unamplified) at around the tenth fret the high strings start sounding almost like a synth, i can't tell you if it's a square wave or some other kind of wave it reminds me of, but it's a really lovely sound
been trying to figure out guitar tuning by ear (using my PSS-A50 keyboard for reference pitches) and, hmm, i wonder why i had so much trouble with the G string, something about this particular pitch is uniquely difficult for me
holy shit the guitar might actually be easier to play melodies on than the keyboard is for me, there's no white key black key scale brainworms it's all just semitones

glad i actually did one of those βdo this next yearβ things, and two weeks early to boot
(okay, i have not learned guitar yet, but having the opportunity to is the first step!)
what is the interval between C and D called? that's right. it's called β2 semitonesβ. there are no other names for this interval. glad we all agree
i wonder how long i can get away with not using a plectrum to play guitar, using one's hands is just really fun
unfortunately i don't think getting a guitar will solve my gear acquisition syndrome; i'm already REALLY wishing i had a yamaha qy100 instead of a yamaha qy70 because while both are a late-90's midi-workstation-in-a-box, the former has a guitar input and pedal control!
an electric solid-body ukelele must be a fun instrument
